What Copy Do You Need for Your Website

💭Dreaming about your own website but don’t have a clue where to begin? ⠀ ⠀ Start with your website content!⠀ ⠀ Effective copywriting is key as it increases brand awareness and ultimately persuades your website visitors to take a particular action.⠀ ⠀ Good copy needs to be engaging, friendly and most importantly purposeful. Through good copy you have the opportunity to differentiate yourself. You can speak directly to your ideal client and let them know not only HOW you can solve their problem, but also WHY you are the best and most obvious choice in a sea of competitors. ⠀

⠀ Typical website sections for which you should have captivating copy:⠀ ⠀ ⚡ Hero banner - this is the first thing people see when they land on your website. Use a short phrase or paragraph with a message that conveys who you are, what your brand is about, what problem you solve and for whom. ⠀ ⠀ ⚡ About - the about section is another important aspect of your health & wellness website. Unlike eCommerce or retail businesses that can have a pretty standard story, your potential customer will definitely base their purchase decision on whether or not they like your vibe. Be authentic and speak to your ideal customer. ⠀ ⠀ ⚡ Services - this is the section where I see most businesses get it wrong, so take your time thinking about what you’re going to write. Simply detailing what you do is not enough, you need to write about the benefits your customers will get by purchasing your products or services. ⠀ ⠀ ⚡ Newsletter - every site has a newsletter subscription somewhere, but unfortunately most go unnoticed. You can’t just have a “subscribe for latest news” and expect people to sign up. Nowadays people are bombarded with a ton of emails every day and they’re reluctant to give out their details unless they know how they’ll benefit from what you have to offer. ⠀ ⠀ ⚡ Blog/Resources - my advice is to only start a blog if you can commit to writing blog posts on a consistent basis. It’s okay to instead write occasional resource pages or link to other people’s content if you think it’ll benefit your audience. ⠀ ⠀ How does writing make you feel? Do you look forward to working on your website content? 💬
